Marlee Floyd (Ballet, Jazz, & Lyrical) is a deeply rooted southern girl from Louisiana, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Theatre and Dance at Northwestern State University. Her credits there include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, West Side Story, Once on This Island, Alice in Wonderland: A New Ballet, Suite for Cello, and The Four Elements. Marlee has trained since the age of 8 in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and modern. Since moving to Ohio in June of 2014, she has appeared in productions of The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake, and Mary Poppins; in addition to professional roles in North Pointe Ballet’s The Nutcracker (Arabian, Snow Queen, Marzipan), Cinderella (Spring Fairy), and Peter Pan (Tinkerbell). She has also had the pleasure of choreographing musicals such as Seussical Jr., and Legally Blonde; and performance groups that have danced at the All Ohio Dance Festival and Walt Disney World. Marlee discovered her passion for teaching dance in 2014, and has since sought to foster a love for the art in all of her students.
