Janet Dziak (Ballet, Pointe) has been teaching ballet at Jillian Rian Dance School since 2011. She holds a B.A. in Dance Performance from Mercyhurst University, where she studied pedagogy and choreography in addition to performance. She went on to perform professionally with Lake Erie Ballet, Saint Louis Ballet, and as a guest artist for companies in Texas and Ohio.

As a teacher, Dziak brings a strong sense of technique, anatomical knowledge, and artistic presence to the classroom. She is trained and certified in Jacques D’Amboise’s National Dance Institute, holds an alternative teaching license in dance through the Ohio Department of Education and has taught master classes and workshops for both students and teachers throughout the region. She served as Director of Dance Education for Olmsted Performing Arts, where she has also directed and choreographed many full-length ballets and musical theater productions.

Janet founded North Pointe Ballet, a professional ballet company, with the passion to make classical ballet more accessible to the community. She is committed to making beautiful productions easy to understand, bringing dance into the community, and directing both professionals and students with respect and positivity. She is thrilled Miss Robin has welcomed North Pointe Ballet in residence at JRDS and can offer opportunities for the students to perform in full-length ballets, such as The Nutcracker.
